LOCAL women Tracy McCluskey, daughter Anka and Roz Hulbert are calling upon all Inverell women to get behind a worthwhile cause – eliminating oppression and poverty among children and families in Bali via the widely acclaimed WINS Project.
A ‘girls night out’ cocktail party has been planned for Saturday November 7 at the Inverell East Bowling Club at 7pm and the night has a distinctive colourful Bali theme. There will be cocktails served at the bar, lucky door prizes, fashion parades, raffles, a best-dressed prize and Good Time Karaoke on the night. The night is for over 18’s only.
“It is for a very worthwhile cause and is going to be a great night,” said Roz, major sponsor of the night and owner of Babs Lorraine Hair and Fashion Emporium.
“Our goal is to educate the children, so we are seeking donations to purchase Indonesian school text books for the Orphanage” said Tracy.
Many projects have already been completed through this organisation including the building of classrooms, the renovation of a kitchen, installation of the Internet, and the establishment of a healthcare program within the Orphanage. Extensions of the program branch out to the neighbouring villages of Petak and Payangan.
“If people want to get involved it is only $5 entry at the door and it promises to be an entertaining night” said Anka.
