 Fire in factory.

Fire in factory.

20 Nov, 2009 12:51 PM
AT roughly 4.22pm last Friday the Inverell Fire Brigade was called to the scene of the old Supercoat factory in Swanbrook Rd after a fire had broken out. The new occupants of the building, who specialise in fish and seafood manufacturing had extinguished the blaze before fire crews arrived on the scene.

“A small diesel pump had overheated and diesel had leaked from the motor to nearby electrical wiring narrowly missing two tanks full of fish oil in what could have been a fire of a much more grandiose scale,” said Inverell Fire Station Officer Mark Savage.

No one was injured in the incident.
