Great debate to open festival

09 Oct, 2009 08:22 AM
AS is always the case, the opening event of the 2009 Sapphire City Festival will be none other than the Inverell Breakfast Toastmasters hosted Junior Communicator and the Communicator of Year.

In conjunction with this there will also be a great debate discussing the topic ‘Kidz r btr off 2day’.

It is the eighth year the event has been staged and held by the Breakfast club and this year they will be pitted against the Inverell Toastmasters side that boasts Bruce George, Neurelle Lyon and Katherine McNamara.

They are the negative team.

Ros Scoble, David Maddigan and Barry Mason from the Breakfast club are the affirmative.

There will also be Craze Dance Academy and Rock n Roll Dancers Summer Swings.

The event starts at 6pm Friday October 16 at the RSM auditorium and tickets are $35 each and can be picked up at the Inverell Tourist Information Centre.

There should be laughter and merriment for all.
