A NUMBER of Inverell students are taking part in the Creative Arts in Public Education Regional Spectacular.
CAPERS has forged a reputation as one of the most colourful, exciting and dynamic spectaculars on the entertainment calendar in the New England and North West.
More than 3000 dancers, singers and musicians from about 30 public schools in the region will be taking part in the event at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.
And Macintyre High School dance group Dinn Daa Daa are ready to showcase their talent to the audiences.
With their beautiful costumes and infectious smiles, their dance and energetic music will have the crowd tapping in rhythm with them.
Macintyre High School student Micah Single will also be performing a solo dance routine. Mikaela Mepham, also from Macintyre High, is also a featured artist accompanying a performance on the saxophone.
Among the featured entertainers will be Inverell High School vocalists Melanie Dyer and Megan Longhurst.
Fourteen Inverell High dancers, including Megan, are also performing in the regional dance ensemble.
As well as the entertainment, more than 500 students from the region have been involved in the visual arts production of the Whale and the Fantasy Pottery Forest in the forecourt of the entertainment and conference centre.
The students from Inverell will perform at a matinee today for all Tamworth schools as well as evening performances tonight and tomorrow for the general public.
