The pony club season has been very busy for the Hodges children with them competing at all but two zone 13 interclub competition days.
Codey 14, Teagan 12 and Tyson 6 have ridden extremely well and achieved excellent results.
Codey achieved a reserve champion Inverell Camp ribbon day, reserve champion Armidale interclub, reserve champion Bundarra school horse sports day, reserve champion Bundarra interclub and 13 – 14 years champion at the Kingstown interclub competition day. Codey was also outstanding in his timed events at the Emmaville and Tenterfield weekend where he was the fastest competitor of all age groups in the Barrel race and the Scud-a-ho event. Codey’s achievements have been particularly impressive as he has been riding a new horse which he has trained for pony club himself which is only 5 years old.
Teagan was champion 11-12 years at Inverell camp, reserve champion Armidale interclub, reserve champion Bundarra school horse sports day, Champion Bundarra Interclub, champion Kingstown interclub, champion Inverell interclub, Champion Emmaville interclub and Champion Tenterfield interclub. Teagan also won overall highest point score northern zone 13 for 11-12 years girl. Teagan also won the McIntyre cup for horsemanship at the Inverell camp.
Tyson was champion under 7 boy at Inverell camp, reserve champion Armidale interclub, champion Guyra interclub, champion Bundarra and Kingstown interclub, reserve champion Glen Innes interclub, reserve champion Inverell, Emmaville and Tenterfield interclub competitions. Tyson was also named reserve highest point score northern zone 13 for under 7 boys.
The ability, dedication and hardwork displayed by all three has been outstanding.
