BCS girls do it again

10 Nov, 2009 08:54 AM
FOR the second consecutive year, Bundarra Central School Year Seven and Eight Girls Touch Football team has beaten all comers and taken out the NSW All Schools Regional Championship.

In one of the more dominant displays seen in local sport, Bundarra Central defeated sides that included Holy Trinity 2-0, Macintyre High School 2-0 and NEGS 7-0. In the semi-finals the girls defeated Holy Trinity 6-1 and in the final they defeated Macintyre High School 3-0. They have now earned a position in the State All Schools final in Penrith on November 20.

Nigel Henley of Bundarra Central School was very proud of the girls efforts and sportsmanship and impressed with their ability to follow the game plan.

“They are a good team and do all the little things right,” he said.

“Everyone at the school is very proud of their efforts and they should be as well.”

The students will now be training hard for the State Championships.
