27 Jun, 2008 11:32 AM
Josh Strang, a member of the Inverell Motorcycle Sports Club, has won the latest round of the USA’s Grand National Cross Country series held on the weekend in Yadkinville, North Carolina.

Strang, riding his RMZ450 Suzuki for USA Suzuki off road team, dominated the cross country event, Josh set the fastest lap times for four of the six laps during the three hour race.

This result makes it five podium positions on the trot for the 20 year old and places him firmly in third outright in the series with five rounds remaining. The next round is in Pennsylvania on 6th July and then the series goes into recess for the summer break until 14th September.

The GNCC series is reputed to be the biggest off road race series in the World and attracts riders from all over the globe, they have a very informative web site at www.gnccracing.com
