The on-going group focus is on ‘Wrapped With Love’, and international effort that creates blankets for the poor and those in need due to losing their homes in such things as personal tragedy, floods or bushfires.
Knitting group organiser Alison MacMurray said the shelves are running dry and they would welcome any kind of yarn of any type or colour to keep the project running.
“Thank you for all the donations in the past, but we would really appreciate more,” Alison said.
”The girls sorted through what was there on Tuesday and they’ve got two Coles bags left: little balls, just odds and ends.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Inverell Public Library.
The Inverell Library Knitters meet at the library on the second Tuesday of each month from 9.30 to 11.30am. For more information or to ask about becoming a phantom knitter working from home, please ring Alison on 6722 2520 or group member Bev Reading on 6722 4686.
