The schedule of activities included a presentation by Botoka Motsumi, originally from Botswana, who shared the history, culture, customs and message of peace that emanates from his native country.
A morning fashion parade saw CWA members take to the catwalk. Afterwards, the crowd, as always, was well-fed by tasty creations from the collected culinary wisdom and experience of the members.
Also on the agenda was a presentation by operatic soprano Peta Blyth, founder of Opera Northwest. Mrs Blyth talked about her own life and the roots of Opera in the Paddock. After she spoke, Peta entertained the gathering with a brief song.
