ADDITIONAL charges have been laid against an 18-year-old man, who was arrested for numerous offences, including an armed robbery of a service station this week.

He was originally arrested at a residence in Girle Street at 4am and property recovered at the time later proved to be stolen from a utility in Brae Street during the early hours of Monday.
Police allege the 18-year-old stole these items and also slashed eight tyres on motor vehicles parked near the location. He has been charged with two counts of malicious damage, steal from a motor vehicle and custody of a knife in a public place. He was refused bail and will appear in Inverell Local Court later today.
Inspector Rowan O’Brien praised his officers for their quick response and early clear-up of the matters..
“The residents of Inverell deserve the best that policing can offer, and in this instance I’m confident this benchmark has been achieved,” he said.
