The meeting opened with Helen Robinson giving a run-down of the activities of the committee over the last 10 years, the range of activities conducted through the Inverell Campus and the need for the new group to support and grow the activities happening at the Inverell campus.
Geoff Croft, who chaired the meeting, advised that the Sapphire City Concert Band had applied for a grant through the NSW Building Community Partnerships Scheme for various works and upgrading of facilities at the Inverell campus.
After discussion by those present, it was agreed to hold a further meeting on Saturday, August 9 at 2pm at the NECOM campus to discuss and adopt a constitution and elect a committee, as well as setting the goals and objectives for the group.
The NECOM Inverell campus is located at 79 Moore Street.
For more information about the new group, please phone Geoff Croft on 0423 630 347 or 6722 2305.
