At the group’s annual general meeting in Tingha last Saturday, Edna Roberts was re-appointed as patron, while Vicki McGrath was re-elected president, along with her executive team of Val Needer (vice president), Audrey McArdle (secretary and publicity officer) and Brenda Baxter (treas-urer).
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall attended the group’s annual general meeting in Tingha on Saturday to personally congratulate the small, but dedicated group of members and present them with their 10-year service medals.
“In the last year, the auxiliary fundraised and donated almost $5000 worth of equipment to the MPS, which is an extraordinary amount given the size of the Tingha community,” Mr Marshall said.
“I want to publicly acknowledge and thank all the auxiliary mem-bers, almost all of whom have been involved since the very beginning a decade ago. The community is very fortunate to have such committed and caring people working to improve local health services.”
The Tingha Auxiliary, together with more than 200 across NSW, live out their motto of: ‘Let us hold high the lamp of service for the welfare of our hospitals’.
