“My school teacher Mr Dal Santo got me a tryout with the Knights.
“We went down there, they saw me and it went from there,” KC said.
“In October, I will be going down to Newcastle to train. A bit of off-season training with the Knights boys, and then I’ve got my two year contract with them.
“I’ll go down there and play for the Knights Harold Matts under 16s. That’ll be good; I’ll enjoy that.”
The team KC will play for next season were this year’s premiers in the Under 16s competition, so there will be pressure on him to perform.
He is a young player already used to playing representative football for this region.
KC said he follows the Knights and enjoys their games, even though the A grade team did not fare too well this year.
“But the 16s are good there; solid as,” he said.
For KC the goal is to one day play for the Newcastle Knights A grade side.
“I hope I’ll get there. If I’m dedicated. It’s all in the head really.”
KC said he is looking forward to next season playing with the Knights and hopes to avoid injury to also play with the Tingha team.
