THE Kurrajong Re-enactment March committee has launched their official website; it is an evolving compilation of stories, profiles, photos, news and background about the gala event and Inverell history.

Committee vice-president Ann Hodgens said contributions from the Inverell RSL and RSM Club allowed web-designer David Carse to transform their content into a user-friendly, accessible platform.
“The idea is to help promote the event, but also for it to be a resource for anybody who might want to know information about Inverell’s World War I involvement,” Ann said.
The march is scheduled for January 10, 2016, and Ann said the site will be updated as new information becomes available.
The committee welcomed input from families who have a veteran or nurse in their family tree.
“We’re looking for not just the Kurrajongs, but any World War I servicemen or nurses, and also people from Warialda and Moree who joined the Kurrajongs,” Ann said.
She the Family History Group has invested time in a project to identify local women who went to the Front with some success.
“We’ve actually found a number of nurses from here that went to the War, and that’s a work in progress, so we’re hoping that they will be able to be recognised.”
