The two clubs held their third annual competition where more than 60 anglers converged on Copeton Dam for the two day outing.
In the end it was the RSM Club who were the victors with a total of 62,110mm of fish measured to the Royal Hotel Clubs total of 50,150mm.
The Sunday lunchtime presentation was hosted by the Royal Hotel Fishing Club and its president Greg Seagrott made mention of how pleasing it was to see two thriving viable clubs coming together for what is proving to be a very enjoyable competition.
Greg and RSM Fishing Club president Peter Black were both particularly pleased that all the money raised on the presentation day was able to be donated to a very worthwhile charity in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
In the individual stakes, Ty Edmonds from the RSM Club was the overall winner for the weekend with a total capture length of 7920mm. He was followed by Graham Candy from the Royal Hotel Club with a total of 5970mm.
There were a few notable catches amongst the biggest species prizes.
Bob Austin landed a massive 63cm Golden Perch and sub junior Alice McInnes recording a 55cm Golden Perch.
“The participation and captures by junior members augurs well for both clubs and I am sure this annual completion will continue for some time.
“It is also great to be able to make a contribution to a cause such as the Westpac Rescue Helicopter,” Greg said.
