Police sergeant Ross Chilcott reported the 51 year-old driver was trapped in the vehicle after the truck carrying a full load of cement tipped and rolled off the road approximately 70km north west of Inverell.
Ashford SES attended the scene among other emergency services before the Tamworth rescue helicopter arrived to assist.
The man was flown to Tamworth Base Hospital with suspected head and spinal injuries, but was later reported to be in a stable condition with no serious damage.
Sgt. Chilcott said, other than a few minor head wounds, the man was in a good condition.
Emergency services attended the scene for a number of hours with the road partially closed as the man was extracted from the vehicle.
Sgt. Chilcott said police inquiries were continuing to discover the cause of the accident and were intending to interview the driver at the earliest opportunity.
UPDATE: 9.52am
The 51 year-old male driver of the concrete truck that rolled over on the Yetman Road near Ashford this morning may have suffered head and spinal injuries as a result of the accident.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has arrived on scene and is currently assisting paramedics in attending the man who is expected to be flown to Tamworth Base Hospital very shortly.

Inverell police and emergency services are currently responding to a motor vehicle accident 70km north-west of Inverell on the Yetman Road.
It is believed that a truck rolled over around 8am this morning.
Emergency services attended and are currently on scene where there have been unconfirmed reports the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
