“It was just a really good bunch of people,” he said.
The signature red Honda CT110 has cropped up in popular enthusiast groups across the state in recent years and Clint said the success of the postie bike is a mix between affordability and recreation.
“We’ve gone mad,” he said.
“They just make you smile when you get on them.”
The single-cylinder engine only produces around 5kW of power and weighs less than 100kg, but the machines are quickly stamping out a place among Australia’s cultural icons and Clint said they covered the 186km with style.
The crew left Warialda for the Wallaroo Hotel at Coolatai before heading on to an evening meal at the Graman Hotel.
Clint said the road trip was supported by a number of local businesses and extended thanks to Doug Barry for his continued support.
“Inverell is such a supportive town for any charity,” he said.
