Girls from years 7 through to 10 travelled to Penrith to compete against five state schools and returned home with four hard-fought victories.
The girls made short work of matches against Lithgow High School, Picnic Point, Woolooware High School and Woodenbong Central School, but were pipped by Kildare Catholic College in a tight match, 3-1.
Four wins had the team in the semi-finals where they conceded a second close match to Reddam House, 4-1.
The Bundarra team secured a sixth place ranking against the state’s top school touch football teams and coach Nigel Henley said he was very impressed and proud with the girls’ sportsmanship, teamwork and general game play.
“They never stopped trying and represented their school and themselves with pride,” he said.
The school and team extended thanks to parents and family who helped transport the team to the event and with general duties to make the trip a success.
