Almost 80 art enthusiast arrived in spectacular style for lunch at the Inverell Art Gallery on Thursday afternoon.

Locals and visitors were wall to wall among a vibrant collection of works from diverse mediums and a unique array of Christmas gifts.
'The holiday season is creeping ever closer and gallery co-ordinator Jo Williams said it was a great turnout to open the festive season.
“It was a very successful day,” she said.
When The Times caught up with Jo, she and her team of hard-working volunteers were still hosting the crowd.
“Everyone is really enjoying themselves,” she said over the table chatter. Glen Innes resident Joan Jones was the lucky winner of a pottery tea set from local craftswoman Janet Regan, and Jo said the collection of Christmas goodies were proving a great treat among the guests.
“Lots of people have done some Christmas shopping,” she said.
The two course meal and refreshment’s were served by a band of regular volunteers. Robyn Johnson, Helena South and Jill Taylor served plates from the kitchen, while bow-tied gents Ken Austin and Geoff Johnson kept glasses topped and conversation flowing on the floor.
“We’ve got great volunteers,” Jo said. “They always put up their hands and help out.”
The luncheon was hosted among the diverse collection of works from gallery students provided a unique dining experience for enthusiasts with an eye for the artistic.
