The new round-about at the southern end of Byron Street is fabulous and is significant in the way that it defines and includes those businesses in that area as part of the overall CBD.
It is so important to the viability of a town to keep maintaining and improving its assets. It is encouraging to have a council who is keen to improve infrastructure for some 12,000 residents and does not let a minority affect their decisions to improve the town.
It is obvious to us that Inverell attracts a significant number of people seeking both professional and retail services.
We are confident that council has undertaken a professional approach by seeking the appropriate advice from urban planning bodies, traffic, streetscape design experts as well as input from community members of the Inverell Mainstreet Redevelopment Sunset Committee during their deliberations on the CBD Renewal Plan.
We look forward to enjoying the improvements and maybe one of council's next projects could be a children's water feature play area Victoria Park!
