INVERELL A grade cricket games were abandoned on Saturday following thunderstorms. The turf pitches were deemed unplayable, and only two B grade matches proceeded on synthetic surfaces.

Invincibles 1 travelled to Tingha and were sent in to bat. Jacob Haines top scored with a well-made 29. Main support came from Dan McLachlan with 25 and Mike Gould made 17. Invincibles 1 finished with the modest total of 120.
Best bowlers for Tingha were Brandon Livermore taking 4/14 off six overs and Greg Livermore Jnr with 3/19 off eight overs. In the field Warren Williams took three catches.
Tingha commenced the run chase and the scene looked bleak when they were 5/39. They did reach 7/98 and had a chance of gaining first innings points with Greg Livermore Jnr and Warren Williams both recording 31 runs. However, Invincibles 1 would not be denied, and when the final Tingha wicket fell at 103, they claimed victory. For Invincibles 1 Scott Peterson took 3/20, Jacob Haines supported with 3/22 and Mike Williams picked up 2/8. Dan McLachlan was sharp in the field and took three catches.
Square & Compass (S&C) took on Invincibles 2 at Brooks Oval, and were trying to turn things around after a disappointing season to date. They needed a solid team performance after they won the toss and decided to bat.
After their young openers Joe Smith (85) and Harry Moses (67) carved out a fine opening stand of 152, Jai Tasker continued on with 38 while Alex Smith remained 26 not out for a total of 7/272 from 40 overs
Todd Hughes was the most successful bowler for Invincibles 2 with 4/43 off eight overs, while Nathan Hughes picked up two wickets.
Invincibles 2 commenced their innings facing Jai Tasker, who removed the top three batsmen. Skipper Brendan Germany top scored with 38 while Ben Hobday and Brett Morcom both reached double figures in a total of 133.
The wickets were shared by S&C bowlers, Jai Tasker 3/30 from five overs, Declan Drake 2/28, Alex White 2/12 and Matt Grice 2/22.
