My family and I have only been in Inverell for three years, we fully understand that in another 30 we may be deemed locals. We have the flour mill in Ring Street.
Recently, with the support of a helpful councillor, a meeting was secured onsite with our local member, Adam Marshall. This meeting was proposed to explain a project which would have large benefits to the Inverell community in numerous ways.
I admit I was sceptical of anything forthcoming. My scepticism was unfounded. No punches were pulled from either side. His responses had nothing to do with party rhetoric and I was impressed with how well informed Mr Marshall is of Inverell and district’s concerns and needs. Be it on jobs for youth, infrastructure (bypass for road trains, hospital etc), drugs and CSG. Mr Marshall went a step further and explained state government funding for projects in this town. All is not lost for us in Inverell, we are on the radar.
