Club spokeswoman Anne Migheli said it was a remarkable achievement for the Inverell swimmers.
“To get to this meet they had to swim and gain a top four finish in their age and respective stroke at regional heats,” Migheli said.
“Then each region across NSW sent these swimmers to Sydney to compete against each other.”
Finley Butler, Lilly Seagrott and Beth Counsell all made the trip to Sydney, and on the day all three swam personal best times that the club was very proud of.
Butler swam the 50 metre freestyle and improved his time by one second, in the 50 metre backstroke he improved his time by one and a half second and the 50 metre butterfly was an improved time for him as well.
Seagrott swam the 50 metre freestyle and achieved a personal best time, in the 50 metre backstroke she improved her time by five seconds and the 50 metre butterfly saw a three and a half second improvement in her time.
Counsell swam a personal best in the 50 metre freestyle, took two seconds off her personal best in the 50 metre breaststroke and managed to take a half a second off her personal best in the 50 metre backstroke. She improved by one second in the 50 metre butterfly.
