MEL Dyer came home with her debut album Lifetime and found a full house. She played the Union Bar on Friday night, and manager Joel McNamara said it was good crowds and a good night.

Inverell mayor Paul Harmon and his wife Anna were in the audience to hear the hometown girl, and had nothing but praise for the 21-year-old.
“It was a fantastic night, just to see a young local talent that is just absolute growing and thriving in the environment, that she’s in,” Cr Harmon said.
“And look, you can really see the professionalism that she’s growing every time she performs.
He felt Mel was just one of many local performers coming up through the ranks.
“We’ve got a lot of great young talent around our community, and it’s certainly all ways gets highlighted every year that we have that Inverell’s Got Talent as part of the Sapphire City Festival,” he said.
“But we’re certainly looking forward to seeing Mel Dyer go through those heights of having a number one single on the ARIA charts.
“That would be just absolutely fantastic.”
