ANZAC Day at Inverell saw the biggest crowd attendance in decades, about 4000 people attended the ceremony following the march and packed the space available around the cenotaph.

As usual all the local schools in the area were well represented in the march and there seemed to be an increase in the number of school children who were wearing medals on the right hand side of their uniforms.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall marched with Inverell ex-servicemen after attending the dawn service in Moree. Senator Williams was also present and read a message from the Prime Minister at the cenotaph.
All the emergency services were represented and there was a large contingent of serving police officers who participated in the march and were led by Inspector Rowan O’Brien.
This year veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq added a younger step to the march, and more servicewomen were noticeable as they perhaps presented the modern face of the Australian Anzac.
