A man ran from police following his involvement in an altercation near Byron and Vivian streets on Sunday.

The 20-year-old Tingha man was later arrested in Otho Street and charged with offensive conduct and resist police, and he will appear in the Inverell Local Court later this month.
Also, on Sunday morning, a 22-year-old Armidale man was charged with high range drink-driving following a collision on the corner of Byron and Wood streets about 3.15am.
The man’s licence was confiscated due to the high reading, and he will appear in Inverell Local Court later this month.
In another incident, a 39-year-old male was arrested and charged following an assault outside a local hotel about 3.30pm on Sunday.
Police said the man is accused of punching a 21-year-old male after an argument. The man will appear in Inverell Local Court in June.
Meanwhile, Police also arrested a 21-year-old man being about 4am Monday after they were called to a domestic incident in Zircon Street.
The man was charged with two counts of common assault and malicious damage, and will appear in Inverell Local Court on May 21.
