The annual doorknocking will commence this week in Inverell. The main event will occur this weekend, May 30 and 31. The nationwide goal for 2015 is $9.5 million.
Funds raised are applied to Salvation Army programs to aid those seeking assistance with day-to-day expenses. They offer emergency welfare, addiction recovery, rural support, suicide bereavement and prevention and many more community support services.
Tables will be staffed this week by volunteers during business hours at the Inverell McDonalds and Big W.
Contributions can also be made by calling 13 SALVOS (13 72 58), online at salvos.org.au or in person at the Inverell Westpac Bank.
If you would like to volunteer, please phone the Inverell office on 6721 0443 or 13 SALVOS.
