Co-coach Jean Muggleton from the Sapphire City Gymnastics Club said Matilda Hamilton competed at Women’s Level 1 on Trampoline, tumbling and mini-trampoline.
“In a field of 37 competitors, Matilda was placed in the top six for her level,” Muggleton said.
“Nevaeh Trevithick competed at Women’s Level 2 on trampoline, tumbling and mini-trampoline and placed a perfect score on mini-tramp, 30 out of 30.
“It was the first time she had achieved a perfect score and it was a big boost for her confidence.”
It was a score that helped place Trevithick among the top four in her level against 39 competitors.
Muggleton said Daniel McDougal competed at Men’s Level 3 trampoline and mini-trampoline and performed his routines well.
“He was in the top six in a field of 37 competitors,” Muggleton said.
“These results are outstanding, not only on a personal basis, but also for the club. Grand Prix competitors are from much larger clubs in Sydney and on the Central Coast.”
To be in the top 10 out of 30-odd has blown us all away. The coach, Debbie Hankins is over the moon. She was at the competition when Nevaeh got the perfect score and just couldn’t believe it.”
