Tomorrow, the netball association will open a new access ramp with a gala day.
Children, including those with a disability, from the ages of 5 to 12 years are invited to join in the fun.
Inverell Netball’s vice-president and NetSetGo co-ordinator Cammy Alliston said the focus of the inclusion day is to provide all kids with the opportunity to try out new netball skills and build their confidence in a safe sporting environment.
Tomorrow’s event is also a major opportunity for the local association to promote the existing NetSetGo program.
It’s Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program, and was developed to provide children with the best-possible learning and playing experience.
The program incorporates skill activities, minor games, music, dance and modified matches co-ordinated by accredited coaches.
Tomorrow’s gala day starts at 10.15am for 10.30am with a free hour-and-a-half session of games and activities. There will be free lunch and giveaways.
