Graeme has delivered two courses on biological farming to Inverell, and will touch down in the district to share the message over September 7-10.
His emphasis has recently grown to include planetary health and the connection between humans and capturing carbon.
The information is directed toward both farmers and backyard gardeners to best understand the links between the soil, plant and human nutrition and holistic production.
“The goal is always to better prepare growers to address the root cause of problems rather than the ongoing treatment of symptoms with increasingly expensive farm chemicals,” Graeme said.
Inverell’s GWYMAC Landcare co-ordinator Sarah Priest said his influence has gone global.
“Graeme has been working within approximately 50 countries advocating for and providing training on biological farming,” she said.
Wandsworth residents Elisa and Steve Fittler agreed they gained new information through the 2014 course.
“You don’t have to be a farmer to benefit from his teaching,” Elise said. “Our mind was opened to many new ideas in many different areas of life and living and farming which we have put into practice with very positive results.”
The course cost is $240 for the 4 days, or $75 for one day. The deadline for bookings is 5pm, Friday, September 4 through www.eventbrite.com.au, and search for NTS Nutrition Farming Inverell.
