Gunnedah won the toss and batted first, but after a solid start the visitors lost their fourth wicket at 71.
Taine Riley and Mackenzie Bailey then ran through the batting line up to dismiss Gunnedah for 87 off 37 overs.
Inverell High had taken the last 7 wickets for 16 runs. Taine ended up with the exceptional figures of 5 for 8 off 7 overs. He was well supported by Mackenzie with 2 for 6 off 6 overs and Declan Drake with 2 for 20 off 8 overs.
Batting second proved to be hard work with Inverell High losing wickets at regular intervals.
They found themselves in a muddle after 13 overs at 6 for 43. Fortunately Jack Stafford scored a solid 17, taking the score from 43 to 64 before he was dismissed.
Taine Riley hung around scoring 8 before he was dismissed leaving Inverell 8 for 71. Sam Newmarch and Rory O’Neill then combined to take the score to 8 for 88.
Sam scored a hard hitting 16 not out to win Inverell the game.
Inverell High will next play Farrer High in the regional final in Tamworth on February 3, and earned the chance to defend the Gleeson Shield which they won last year.
Inverell High thanked Eric Higgins and Ben Hobday for umpiring and Lee Cook for scoring.
