Businesses kept the doors open for people wanting to catch up on Christmas shopping, and market stalls and buskers filled the street. There was also plenty of fun for the kids including a jumping castle and spray tattooing.
Organised by Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Festival of Christmas Lights also included the judging of the best Christmas lights display by local businesses.
McLean Care and the Empire Hotel were the winners, with the competition judged by Senator John Williams.
