Anne invited women of all ages to join and enjoy the rich interchange of ideas and company.
“We’re hoping we have more attendance of course,” she said.
“We have an average of about 30-35 people coming, so that’s quite good.”
The new committee members are vice president Jill McCormick, treasurer Marj Manuel, assistant treasurer Neta McIntrye, secretary Terena Donnelly, program officer Helen Foster, lunch bookings officer Margaret Kahler, publicity officer Barbara Douglass, programs officer Mariel Counsell and delegate Gwen Krause.
VIEW fundraising is directed toward the Smith Family to help underprivileged children with education.
“We buy them uniforms and books and put them through school right through university,” Anne said.
VIEW holds a monthly meeting every third Wednesday, with a lunch and guest speaker.
They meet the following week for a morning tea, meal and outing.
Membership is $15, and the monthly lunch is $20, with funds directed to the Smith Family.
