Club Licensee John Taylor said the club was a great place for families.
“It’s an important community hub and this grant is a great start to getting our kitchen upgraded to meet health and safety standards,” Mr Taylor said.
“The grant is very welcome.”
Mr Taylor said the club was very grateful for the support it received from Mr Marshall in securing the grant and were looking forward to getting the work underway.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall recently visited the club to make the funding announcement and meet with the members to discuss the much-needed kitchen upgrade.
“There’s nothing like the atmosphere of a country club and I’m pleased that the current committee are breathing new life into Delungra,” Mr Marshall said.
“I was very pleased to support the club’s funding application and I’m delighted that this support will be used to improve an important community facility.
“The bowling club is an iconic and well-loved community asset and this grant will help kick-start the refurbishment of its kitchen facilities.”
