Inverell Salvation Army captain Robert Mills said he came across the vandalism at the back of the store on Otho Street around Wednesday, but said it’s not the first time the space has been targeted.
He said Inverell Shire Council had offered to remove the spray paint soon.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact the Inverell station or Crimestoppers.
In another incident, officers arrested a 27 year-old man on a warrant on Friday.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Inverell bail court on Saturday.
