“It was very neck and neck going into today,” Brodie Smith said on the last competition day.
“A Grade was one shot, B Grade was tied for the lead, and I think division three was about four shots. So it’s neck and neck.”
“It’s a stroke competition. So yeah, everybody just has to record their strokes. And that’s what we go off, depending on your handicap, as to what division you’re in,” she said.
“Whoever has the best three weeks with the least amount of strokes wins.”
Winner of the club champion for her 18th year, Liz Hobday continued to show her strength, taking division one with a gross score of 254, only two shots ahead of Jan Frater on 256.
The close scores continued in division two, with Leigh Hobbs just scraping through with 290 gross, one shot ahead of Paula Hinton.
Ann Bucknell widened the gap in division three with 324 strokes, 11 shots ahead of Anne Coote’s 335. Jan Frater won the over nett score for the three weeks with 208 points from Leigh Hobbs with 209 in another close finish.
