Polocrosse players from around the world will descend on Goondiwindi this Saturday, July 23.
They are making their way to the town on the border for the annual Goondiwindi Polocrosse Club Carnival and Gundy member and player, Michelle Smith couldn’t be more excited.
“We usually get around 30 teams but this year we’ll get 60.
“They’re coming from Inverell, Gold Coast and out west to Tambo. We even have a team from America coming,” she said.
It all begins on Saturday at the Showgrounds at 7.30am. The action continues until 4pm and then it all happens again on Sunday.
“It’s a great sport so why not pop out,” Michelle said.
“They’ll be a bar and canteen both days as well.”
