The Australia’s Favourite Sons tour will be filled with dedicated musicians, keen to replicate the look and sound of some of the country’s rock legends.
“Simple formula – take three acts that every Aussie loves, INXS, Jimmy Barnes and AC/DC and put them on stage” promoter John Logan said.
The show will begin with the musical journey of INXS and lead singer Michael Hutchence, spanning a 20 year career that sold 40 million albums worldwide.
Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel will fill part two, with a tribute to their many classic rock anthems, such as pub favourite Khe Sanh. Well known hits like Flame Trees and Working Class Man will not be forgotten.
The pace will not slow down in the third act as the frenetic stage antics of AC/DC and lead singer Bon Scott will be reproduced with enthusiasm. An energetic set, the cast will perform high-octane classics such as Highway to Hell, Dirty Deeds and TNT.
Billed as a chance to “break out your inner rock god” the show hopes to faithfully recreate many timeless classics and pay homage to some of Australia’s favourite performers.
The show begins at 7pm tomorrow, and tickets are on sale at the door.
