Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said the NSW government’s Regional Capital funding program matched funding for equipment for arts and cultural purposes or construction and renovation of these facilities.
“Our local arts and culture scene is a huge asset to our community so it’s critical that we do what we can to foster and grow it,” he said.
“This funding helps to do exactly that by matching funding that local organisations are investing to improve facilities – whether it is the purchase of new auditorium seating, exhibition lighting, the repair and conservation of collections or the digitalisation of collections.
“High quality venues and facilities in our communities encourage wider participation in arts and cultural activities and I encourage local organisations to submit applications for funding.”
Applications for projects commencing after January 1, 2017, are open until Monday, September 5.
