Club secretary Leonie Buchan said all the members had a successful weekend and a truckload of prizes were brought home.
“Narrabri held their Landmark Junior challenge again, giving the younger players a chance to compete with other juniors from around the state and showcase their skills,” she said.
“Our juniors were split up into different teams in different grades, but they all played exceptionally well and were rewarded for their efforts.”
Lachie and Darcy Brennan and Josh Woodward played together as ‘Team Tropical Sno’ in the C grade and were runners-up to ‘Team Green Machine’, made up of Jayde Anderson, Ben Turner and ex-Inverell player Heather Adams. Heather was awarded Best Nunber 3 of the C grade.
Toby Powell, Sam Caskey, Ruby Ticehurst and Alex Goufas played together in ‘Team Cyclone’ and were runners up in the D grade competition. “Toby was awarded Best Number 2 Boy, Sam got Best Number 3 Boy and Alex did extremely well, getting Best Number 2 Girl and the Encouragement Junior Girl,” Buchan said.
“Luke Turner played in the sub-junior competition and just keeps improving with every carnival.
“We only had two adult players for the weekend, Col Turner and Grace Brennan who played with Warwick and Muswellbrook Ladies respectively. Grace’s team came out Winners of the B grade.”
