Inverell Golf Club captain Adrian King said the damage was discovered from the first green on Sunday morning when members of the Inverell RSM Club went out to play.
This could run into $1000s to repair.

Mr King said it seemed the vandals were, “chucking donuts on the fairways, and driving over the 1st, 7th, 12th and 16th greens. This could run into $1000's to repair,” he said.
“I don’t know what they were thinking, but the four greens, they weren’t happy with going over them once, they ran over them several times.”
He said the club green keeper, Ben Watling, would have a job ahead to remedy the damage.
“What we’re going to have to do is put the pins furthest away from where the wheelmarks are,” Mr King said, adding golfers may be offered a free drop from the line of sight from the tracks.
Inverell Sergeant Tim Mowle witnesses of the incident on the evening of Saturday, August 20 or early hours of Sunday, August 21 are welcome to call the station 6722 0599, or Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000.
