Farmer Jason Smith was blown away when he found a rare albino echidna along Mosquito Creek Road, around 20km out of Warialda on Friday afternoon.

“I was over the moon,” he said. “It's something that I think is one in a million. It's pretty unbelievable.”
Nicknamed ‘Dino the Albino’ by his grandson Tommy, Jason moved the creature to a safer location, away from traffic. He said he’d never even heard of an albino echidna before, and would love to know if any locals spot Dino or another like him.
