Children loved sharing their creativity with family members, while raffles and an auction of community contributed artwork raised funds for the Inverell District Hospital Children’s Ward.
“It's putting them out there to say that they're special people and they're our future,” teacher Michele Penberthy said. She said the event aimed to remind the community how important and capable children are.
Family members were invited to add to a book compilation of the children’s thoughts on the most important things in life. “They respond back with their ideas what they want for their children for the future,” Michele said. She said the project was about giving children a voice.
