It comes after a stint at Southern Cross Distant Education School where she picked up an award this week for effort, application and achievement and also in English and drama.
Six Year 12 students held their graduation dinner this week and next day presentations were held for students from all years.
Year 9 isolated student Belle Smith said she tried hard and it showed: awards for virtually all her subjects.
“Johnno” Jarvis picked up awards for English, Maths and Science.
“I’ve always been good at maths,’’ he said.
Tristen White graduated from year 12 after four years with the distance school.
“I didn’t like the school environment,’’ he said. But he attended Macintyre High for woodwork classes – and came second in an art exhibition with a table he made.
Southern Cross Distance Education is an alternative for young people needing to finish their schooling.
