A grade cricket continued on Saturday when Staggy Creek and Square & Compass met at McCosker No 1.

Square & Compass won the toss and invited Staggy to bat first. Jai Tasker rocked the top order with two wickets in the opening over of the match.
Ross Chilcott halted the slide with a backs to the wall innings of 39 runs. Jon Krauss compiled 22 and Mick Kenny remained 27 not out to see his side all out for 153.
Square & Compass did well to restrict their batsmen to this total with Jai Tasker taking 4-28 off eight overs and Joe Smith snaring 3-16 off seven. The Smith brothers were heavily involved in the field with four catches between them.
With Square & Compass facing an enthusiastic attack, Staggy gave little away with two early wickets by Kenny and an important run-out.
Young Tasker showed his worth with 28 to top score and late order contributions from Ben and Mark Horneman, (27 and 18) was not enough to get their side over the line. Staggy won a close encounter with Square & Compass all out for 139.
Jon Krauss led the bowling with 3-17, Mick Kenny 2-12, while Cook, Donnelly, Kennedy and K Chilcott claimed one wicket each.
The win leap-frogged Staggy to the competition lead with Campbell & Freebairn having the bye.
RSM scored 222 to defeat Tattersalls Rats, all out for 90. Jaxon Stafford with 64 and Taine Riley on 40 led the way for RSM. Tod Hughes bagged 6-22 off seven overs to skittle Rats.
Winners in B Grade were Invincibles, 156 defeating Staggy Creek 140 while Tingha celebrated with a win over Empire Warriors. Tingha 9-138 just shading Warriors 135.
Staggy Creek can put their feet up this weekend with a bye in the A grade, with Invincibles swinging on a hammock in the shade in the B grade with a bye of their own.
Toiling in the hot sun on Saturday will be A grade teams RSM facing Square and Compass and the Tatts Rats against Campbell & Freebairn.
B grade action will see the Warriors facing Staggy Creek and Tingha will host RSM.
