The competition was won by Danny Thaddeus, Darrin Walker and Darren Keyte with an incredible score of 54 net.
Over $5,200 was raised on the day. The Inverell Sports Council works with all sporting bodies and Inverell Shire Council to ensure the continuous improvement of our sporting facilities. The money that was raised at the golf day will enable the Inverell Sports Council to further promote sporting facilities within the Inverell Shire.
All participants had the opportunity to win the BEST Employment Luck Player Draw. Each entrant was required to nominate their favourite sporting group. Steve Pearce won the BEST prize and has donated the $300 to his chosen sporting body, the Inverell Jockey Club.
Special guest Mike Whitney entertained players with comical stories of his yesteryears. Mike enjoyed the day so much he has vowed to return next year.
Inverell Sports Council would like to thank the sponsors that made the day a huge success; BEST Employment (major sponsor for the 5th year), Leaf Free Gutter Guard, Mike Whitney, Boss Engineering, Repco Inverell, MacIntyre Hot Bread, Blue Gem Contractors, Campbell’s BP Fuel, Penrite Oil Company, Inverell Golf Club, Inverell Building Supplies, Campbell & Freebairn Pharmacy, Tridon and TRW.
