A 33-year-old Inverell/Gilgai male was arrested following a domestic dispute in Tingha around 6pm on Thursday, February 2.

It is alleged the victim and the male were travelling in a vehicle when an argument ensued.
The victim hopped out of the vehicle with her children, and began to walk away from the male to calm the situation. The male has followed the victim before assaulting her in the street.
The victim was assisted by some bystanders before police were called. Upon attendance the male was located a short distance away.
He was arrested and conveyed to Inverell Police Station where he was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Intimidation.
He was refused bail and faced Inverell Local Court Friday, February 3.
About 9pm Thursday, February 2, police were called to a hotel in Inverell after it is alleged a male person had punched a poker machine.
Police attended and observed the screen of the poker machine to be smashed. A check of CCTV showed a 29-year-old Inverell male shaking and punching the machine before leaving the hotel.
The male was identified, and police attended his residence where he was spoken with. He was issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice for Malicious Damage and will attend Inverell Local Court in March 2017.
