Barwon Local Area Command Detective Inspector Dave Silversides said the plane and the pilot were unharmed.
“There’s no injuries, and the plane was able to be landed without incident,” Detective Silversides said.
“There was some marking on the plane from the powerlines that has caused a grass fire at the area.
“Police are on the scene at that moment speaking with the pilot and they have the Rural Fire Service attending to the fire. There was very little damage to the aircraft itself.”
