V.I.P Petfoods (Aust), trading as Real Pet Food Company, has acquired Consolidated Manufacturing Enterprises Pty Ltd (CME) from its owners, Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) and Ridley Agriproducts Pty Ltd (Ridley). The acquisition came into effect 31 January 2017.

CME operates from a manufacturing plant in Inverell, NSW producing dry pet food for domestic and international markets. The site has more than 50 staff, and is led by Wes Sims.
Company spokesperson, Alissa Taylor stated “The acquisition of CME provides us with capacity to meet demand now, as well providing growth opportunity for the future”.
Real Pet Food Company has been owned by Quadrant Private Equity since July 2015. They are the market leaders in Dog Roll and Fresh pet products, as well as have a strong presence in all wet and dry pet food with brands such as Nature’s Gift, Nature’s Goodness and Farmers Market.
The Company have made a number of strategic acquisitions in the past 18 months, aimed at building brands that offer healthy and natural ingredients and promoting the health and wellbeing of pets.
