Before you head out, consider giving yourself a 30-minute makeover at Campbell and Freebairn Chemist, in Otho Lane, Inverell.
“We have four technicians trained in Napoleon Perdis products who can make up clients for weddings, parties and all functions,” partner Emma Freebairn said.
Perfumes, beauty accessories and hair products are also sold at the chemist.
The following businesses have supported this feature:
Inverell RSM Club can cater for up to 400 people in a number of meeting rooms and a large auditorium for those wanting to organise a great night out, or any other occasion.
There’s also live entertainment every Saturday night in the main lounge, from 7pm.
Diggers Bistro and Rustic Table, the club’s two restaurants, offer casual and a la carte meals. There’s a new pizza menu and $9 members’ specials are offered every Wednesday night, making it an affordable evening.
It’s “Our Shout” every Monday night at Inverell East Bowling Club. The deal sees the club “shouting” members their first beer, wine or soft drink.
The bowling club has free entertainment every Saturday night and some Friday nights; check out the venue’s facebook page for updates.
Also, there’s no need to worry about driving, with the club’s taxi vouchers giving customers a $5 discount on their fares.
Meat raffles are held every Tuesday and Friday nights, with tickets going on sale at 6pm.
The club is on Glen Innes Road; phone 6722 1545 for more information.
Truckies and backpackers make regular stops at Delungra Hotel, in Inverell Street, where there is camping at the rear and the chance of a shower and meal at the pub.
“We’re a family orientated pub,” staff member Mandy Curtis said.
Paul Crockett took over as publican about a year ago with Maralyn Ham; they’re now looking at providing regular live entertainment.
Popular dinner dishes include the reef ’n’ beef, rump and T-bone steaks and fisherman’s basket. Phone 6724 8405 for more information.
